My Labor Services

I believe that  birth is a natural, beautiful, and amazing experience. When I attend your birth I believe wholeheartedly that it is YOUR birth and YOUR experience and that my job is to support you and your partner through this experience in a loving, caring, and compassionate manner. I am a DONA TRAINED and DONA CERTIFIED labor Doula. I have experience supporting women and their partners through home births, birth center births, hospital births, non-medicated as well as medicated births, successful VBACS, inductions and teen pregnancies. I am also a proud  "professional member" of  Ican (International Cesarean Awareness Network)

 Some of the services you can expect when you hire me as your Doula are as follows:

  • Prenatal Consultation: My relationship with you begins well in advance of labor. These visits help us get acquainted with one another, allow us to discuss your  previous experiences, as well as a chance to discuss your birth plan and all of your expectations for your upcoming birth. (These meetings will take place at my office)
  • Around the Clock Phone and Email Support: I will be there for you 24 hours a day,  7 days a week via phone or email to ensure everything is going along smoothly, that every question you have is answered, and that all of your concerns are addressed throughout the duration of your pregnancy.
  • Continuous Support During Labor and Delivery:  I will be at your side throughout the entire length of your labor; starting in your home and continuing through to the hospital or your place of birth.  I employ many tools and techniques including: massage, heat massage, aroma therapy, birth ball, position changes, breathing, and music to help keep you comfortable during labor. I do not perform any clinical tasks or diagnose medical conditions.
  • Post Partum Follow Up:  Regardless of whether you hire me for your postpartum needs or not; I will meet with you after you have brought your brand new baby home to make sure all is well with Mom, Dad, Baby, and Family. (This meeting will take place at my office unless I have been hired on for postpartum)
  • Birth Pictures:  I will be more than happy to take as many pictures as I can of your labor & birth with your camera. The amount of pictures I will be able to take will depend on how physically involved I am. 

Labor Doula Package Fee: $750
